1 Add someone with a church email
Anyone with an @abundantlifecod.org address.
- Open Microsoft Teams → find your team on the left
- Click the … (three dots) next to the team name
- Choose Add member
- Type their name or church email
- Click Add
They're in immediately. They'll see the team in their Teams app the next time they open it.
2 Add someone with a personal email
Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, etc. — anyone without a church account.
- Open Microsoft Teams → find your team
- Click the … next to the team name
- Choose Add member
- Type their full personal email address (not their name)
- Choose Add [their email] as a guest (Teams uses the word "guest" for anyone with a personal email — that's normal)
- Click Add
They will receive an invitation email within a minute.

Tell them:
- Open the email (check spam / promotions folder if not in inbox)
- Click Get Started or Accept invitation
- If prompted, sign in with the personal email they were invited with, or create a free Microsoft account using that email
- Once accepted, they can access Teams at teams.microsoft.com or by installing the free Teams app on their phone
Tip: Send them a quick text or message letting them know an invite is coming so they don't delete it as spam. The email comes from invites@microsoft.com, not from you.
